Fair Use Policy

CaRe 101 is operated by Versatile Equipments Pvt Ltd ("Versatile", "we", "us"). The free tier is generous on purpose, and this policy keeps it that way for every foundry by setting out what fair, reasonable use looks like. It sits alongside our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Data Policy.

1. What the service is for

CaRe 101 is for logging and analysing genuine casting rejections for your own foundry's operations. Fair use means using it for that purpose, at a scale that reflects your real production.

2. Fair use of the free tier

The free tier includes unlimited user accounts, one active session per role, and a monthly image quota. To keep it fair for everyone:

• Use one organization per foundry business. Do not split a single operation across many organizations to stay under the image quota or the session limits.
• Do not use scripts or automation to inflate usage, farm the free quota, or generate volume you would not log by hand.
• Concurrency limits go with your plan. Add concurrent sessions on a paid plan rather than sharing one login across many benches to work around them.

Genuine multi-plant groups and larger operations are welcome; talk to us and we will set the right plan.

3. Content you upload

You are responsible for what you upload. You confirm that you have the right to upload it, and you agree not to upload:

• material that is unlawful, infringing, or that breaches someone else's confidentiality;
• personal data of individuals without a lawful basis to hold it;
• content unrelated to casting inspection that is intended to game the system or the models.

4. Things that are not allowed

• Probing, scanning, or testing the security of the service, or trying to access data that is not yours.
• Reverse engineering the software, or reselling, sublicensing, or reusing it to build a competing product.
• Scraping the service, or automated access beyond what we permit.
• Uploading malware, or anything that disrupts or degrades the service for others.
• Sharing your organization's access with an unrelated business.

5. Keeping the floor running

Fair-use handling targets the account, not a live shift. Capturing and syncing genuine defect records is not blocked by a usage limit; where use looks unfair or abusive we address it at the account level. See the offline behaviour in our Data Policy.

6. If usage is unfair

Where practical we contact you first. Depending on the case, we may ask you to move to a suitable plan, apply reasonable rate limits, or suspend an account that is being abused or used unlawfully. Persistent or serious misuse may end access under the Terms.

7. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date above shows the current version, and material changes are notified to account admins.
